Napoleon ordered the Arc de Triomphe in 1806 to honour his armies. Under the arch lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, whose flame is rekindled every evening at 6:30 PM.

Climb 284 steps to the rooftop terrace, where twelve avenues radiate out like a star – one of the best views in Paris, especially at sunset.

  4. Timed tickets: arrive 15 minutes before your time slot. Late arrivals may be refused and are not refunded.
  5. Many French national museums and monuments are free for under-18s – where a child ticket isn't listed, children still need to queue with the adult and show ID.
  6. Bookings are valid only for the date and time on your voucher. To change, contact Plantenium before the day – changes depend on availability.
