Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Plans change – we understand. This policy explains how to cancel a booking with Plantenium Travels, what you get back and how fast.
1. The cancellation policy on your booking comes first
Every activity, tour, visa and package page shows its own cancellation policy, and the same policy is on your voucher or confirmation. That specific policy applies to your booking. The rules below apply where a booking doesn't say otherwise.
Travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, attractions, cruise lines and governments) set many of these rules. Where a supplier refunds us, we pass the refund on to you in full, minus only the charges shown below.
2. How to cancel
- Email info@plantenium.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91-9084682279 with your booking reference (it starts with PLNTXN, or PLN for enquiries).
- Your cancellation counts from the time we receive your message. We confirm every cancellation in writing.
- Cancellation deadlines are counted in the local time of the destination.
3. Activities, attraction tickets and day tours
- Attraction tickets (theme parks, observation decks, museums, shows): free cancellation up to 48 hours before the visit date – full refund. Within 48 hours, no-shows and late arrivals: non-refundable.
- Shared day tours, cruises and transfers: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time – full refund. Within 24 hours and no-shows: non-refundable.
- Boat trips, snorkelling and dives that depend on the sea, and some Japan tickets: free cancellation up to 72 hours before – as shown on the activity page.
- Private cars, private boats and private tours: free cancellation up to 7 days before – as shown on the activity page.
- Fixed-date events (for example a Grand Prix or a concert) are non-refundable once booked unless the event is cancelled.
4. Visas
- Full refund if you cancel before we submit your application to the authorities.
- Once submitted, government visa fees and our service charge are non-refundable – including if the visa is refused, delayed, or granted for a shorter period than requested. The decision to grant a visa rests only with the issuing government.
- If we fail to submit your application because of our own error, we refund you in full.
5. Flights
Flight refunds follow the airline's fare rules shown at the time of booking. Many economy fares are partly or fully non-refundable. Where a refund is allowed, we refund what the airline returns, minus the airline's cancellation fee and our service fee of ₹500 per passenger per sector. Government taxes are refunded where the airline refunds them.
6. Hotels
Hotel bookings follow the hotel's cancellation policy shown at booking. Non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled or changed. Refundable rates can be cancelled free until the deadline shown; after that, the hotel's penalty (often one night or the full stay) applies.
7. Holiday packages and custom trips
Unless your quote says otherwise, package cancellations are charged as a share of the total trip price:
- 45 days or more before departure: 10% of the trip price (or the actual non-refundable costs already paid to suppliers, if higher).
- 30 to 44 days before: 25%.
- 15 to 29 days before: 50%.
- 7 to 14 days before: 75%.
- Less than 7 days before, or no-show: 100% (non-refundable).
Flights, visas, peak-season hotels and other parts marked non-refundable in your quote are charged in full whenever you cancel. Booking amounts (deposits) secure supplier inventory and are refundable only as per these rules.
8. Fixed-price packages and special offers paid online
Packages sold online at a fixed price show their own cancellation policy on the package page, and that policy is what applies to your booking.
- Where a package or offer is marked non-refundable, it cannot be cancelled once it is booked and paid for, and no refund is given, including for no-shows. Please check your dates and the number of travellers before you pay.
- If we cannot provide the package (for example no hotel of the stated category is available on your dates), we offer an alternative or refund you in full.
- If one part of the package is cancelled by its operator, for example a boat tour in bad weather, we move it to another day of your trip, arrange a similar activity, or refund that part.
9. Changes and date changes
To change a date, contact us before the day of travel. We'll try to rebook at no extra cost; if the supplier charges a change fee or the new date costs more, you pay the difference. A change may count as a cancellation if the supplier treats it that way.
10. If we or a supplier cancel
- If a supplier cancels (for example for bad weather, sea conditions, a strike or maintenance), you can choose a full refund or a new date.
- If we cannot provide a confirmed booking after you pay, you get a full refund.
- We are not responsible for losses caused by events beyond our control (force majeure), such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, government orders or airline failures, but we will pass on every refund or credit we receive from suppliers.
11. How and when refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to your original payment method (card, UPI, net banking or PayPal). We cannot refund to a different account.
- We start your refund within 5–7 working days of the cancellation being accepted, or of the supplier refunding us (for flights and hotels). Your bank may take a further 5–10 working days to show it.
- Payment gateway charges are not deducted from refunds for cancellations made within the free-cancellation window.
- Refunds are paid in Indian Rupees. For PayPal payments in other currencies, the amount you receive can differ slightly because of exchange rates.
- If a payment failed but money left your account, it is reversed automatically by your bank or PayU, usually within 5–7 working days. If not, send us the transaction reference and we'll chase it.
12. No-shows and unused services
There are no refunds for services you don't use once your trip has started – for example a missed tour, an unused ticket, an early check-out or a skipped meal – unless the supplier refunds us.
13. Questions and complaints
Email info@plantenium.com or WhatsApp +91-9084682279. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
