Dubai Visa Guide for Indian Travelers: Everything You Need in 2026

Plantenium Travel Desk·2 June 20266 min read

The UAE tourist e-visa is one of the simplest visas an Indian passport holder can get — if you know which documents actually matter. Here's the full checklist.

Of all the visas Plantenium processes, the UAE tourist e-visa is consistently the fastest and least stressful — most applications clear in 3-4 working days, and there's no in-person interview. But "simple" only stays simple if your documents are right the first time. A blurry passport scan or a mismatched name spelling is the single biggest reason applications bounce back for resubmission.

What you actually need

Four things, no more: a passport copy with at least 6 months' validity and two blank pages, a recent passport-size photograph on a plain white background, a confirmed return flight ticket, and a hotel booking confirmation (or your Plantenium itinerary, which we provide automatically once your package is confirmed).

You do not need bank statements or an employer letter for the standard 30-day single-entry tourist visa. If an agent asks you for these for a basic UAE tourist visa, that's a red flag — it usually means they're bundling in unnecessary paperwork or padding the fee.

Processing time and validity

Standard processing is 3-4 working days. The visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issue, not from your travel date, so don't apply too far in advance — we recommend applying 2-3 weeks before departure, not 2-3 months.

If your trip includes a stopover in another Gulf country, that doesn't complicate the UAE leg, but double-check that country's own transit rules separately.

Common mistakes we see

Name mismatches between the passport and the flight booking are the top rejection reason. Second is a photo with a shadow or non-white background — UAE immigration checks this more strictly than most people expect. Third is applying under time pressure: a visa denial with no time to reapply can force you to cancel or reschedule a trip entirely.

How Plantenium handles it

When you book a Dubai package or add visa processing to any Plantenium itinerary, we collect your documents once, check them against UAE immigration's current requirements, and file the application on your behalf — so you're not the one discovering a formatting issue three days before your flight.
