The eastern coast of Sai Kung is part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, famous for its 140-million-year-old hexagonal rock columns formed by a supervolcano. By boat you see the columns rising from the sea, along with sea arches, sea caves and secluded beaches.

Your guide explains the geology and the area's fishing-village history, with a stop on one of the islands when conditions allow.

  2. Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. Your e-ticket or voucher is emailed to you, usually within 24 hours of booking.
  3. Carry your passport; attractions and tour operators may check the lead traveller's ID against the booking.
  4. Child, senior and concession prices follow the attraction's own age rules, checked at entry. If a ticket type doesn't match, the difference may be charged there.
  5. Bookings are valid only for the date on your voucher. To change the date, contact Plantenium before the day – changes depend on availability.
  6. Hong Kong attractions, boats and outdoor tours can close or be cancelled for typhoon or rainstorm signals. If the operator cancels, you get a full refund or a new date.
