Kathakali is Kerala's 300-year-old classical dance-drama, telling stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata through hand gestures, eye movements and dramatic costumes.

Doors open an hour early so you can watch the performers apply their make-up, followed by a short explanation of the gestures and the performance.

  5. Bookings are valid only for the date on your voucher. To change the date, contact Plantenium before the day – changes depend on availability.
  6. Water activities, treks, flights and boat trips can be cancelled for weather, river levels, sea conditions or government orders. If the operator cancels, you get a full refund or a new date.
