Treasures from Beijing's Palace Museum – the Forbidden City – in a striking modern building on the West Kowloon waterfront, plus world-class special exhibitions.
The Hong Kong Palace Museum shows more than 900 treasures on loan from the Palace Museum in Beijing: imperial paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, bronzes and objects from the daily life of the emperors, across seven themed galleries.
Its special exhibitions bring major loans from museums worldwide – recent shows have featured ancient Egypt and jewellery from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The building's terraces look out over Victoria Harbour.
