The Colosseum, opened in 80 AD, held 50,000 spectators for gladiator fights. A timed ticket includes the Colosseum, the Roman Forum – the heart of the ancient city – and the Palatine Hill, where emperors built their palaces.

On the guided tour, an archaeologist guide takes you through the special entrance onto the reconstructed arena floor, where gladiators once stood, before leading you round the Forum.

Know Before You Go

  • ID is checked against the name on the ticket – bring your passport.
  • Very little shade in the Forum; carry water and a hat in summer.

Cancellation policy: Free cancellation up to 72 hours before your visit (full refund to your original payment method). Timed tickets are non-refundable within 72 hours, and for no-shows.

  2. Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. Your e-ticket or voucher, with your entry time, is shared on email and WhatsApp within 24 hours of booking.

  4. Timed tickets: arrive 15 minutes before your time slot. Late arrivals may be refused and are not refunded.
  5. Child prices follow the attraction's own age rules, checked at entry. Where under-18s enter free, they still need to come with the ticket-holding adult.
  6. Bookings are valid only for the date and time on your voucher. To change, contact Plantenium before the day – changes depend on availability.
